SPAM MUSUBI: On Mondays, students have the opportunity to purchase spam musubi at lunch. It takes a volunteer crew of parents and alumni parents each week to make sure there is enough to sell. We are grateful to Kris Tokunaga for heading up this committee each week. If you are able to volunteer once a month or every week, please email Kris at: kristok4@gmail.com
SPIRIT WEAR: If you are looking to wear a Sapphire Sound t-shirt or hoodie with our traditional “M” logo, we have these items available on Thursday nights at the Spirit Wear table outside the Band room.

If we have a Saturday morning rehearsal, students WILL need to provide their own lunch! (We are only able to provide dinner.)
This is a friendly reminder to get your FTCs in this week. Thank you!
Our performance at the Westview Field Tournament last Wednesday was truly something to celebrate! The students pushed hard throughout the week, refining key moments during the Tuesday rehearsal, and their effort absolutely showed. We closed out the regular marching season on a high note by breaking 90 points, an incredible accomplishment for everyone involved.
This Saturday’s Championships will be a wonderful celebration of the marching arts, and I hope you’ll consider making the trip to Citrus College to cheer on the Sapphire Sound one more time as we perform Phases in competition. Gates open at 4:30 pm, the first 6A band performs at 5:30 pm, and Mira Mesa takes the field at 8:12 pm. Please cheer loudly—especially in the moments that move you. Your support means the world to our students.
I am truly honored to lead the Sapphire Sound each and every day. This program thrives because of the dedication of so many. Thank you to the entire Blue Team marching staff and ALL of our incredible parent volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. I absolutely could not do this alone, and I am so excited to bring this group to Championships on Saturday!
A quick reminder that we have an important Parent Meeting this Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the band room to review Championship details.
Let’s have a fantastic week, Go Sapphire Sound!
